Since the talk in the milk thread went from bad to worse. Here's a question. What's the nastiest thing you've ate or seen someone eat????

I tried caviar but I just swallowed it whole b/c it just seemed nasty to be eating on fish eggs. BLEH! I've also had swordfish. That was weird b/c I didn't know it was swordfish, til I looked further up the table and saw it's FLIPPEN HEAD!!!!
I hate seafood.

That's about been my extent. I can't eat chit that just seems nasty. I have too much of a gag reflex. Like Steve-O. *L*

my oldest likes seaweed( dried) the lady I live with is japanese and eats all kinds od crazy stuff but she likes to eat the marrow out of ox tails, I have to think about what I ate. cause I have tried alot of stuff.. Snails (goodbut the thought of it was wrong) I'll get back too ya

I'm like you, I have a really bad gag reflex. I have to watch what I eat. My family makes fun of me because I will actually get sick, they tell me to close my eyes or leave the room when something grosse is coming on the TV. But I did try Calmari once. Several people were trying to get me to try it for years and it just didn't look good to me. Then one day I was at resteraunt where someone had gotten it and it looked like onion rings, battered and fried. So I tried it that way with some marinara sauce and it really wasn't bad that way. But I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. I like some seafood but not all. I'm not interested in Octopus either and I know people who love it.

I like pork. Several years ago I was at a friends wedding. They had a roast pig on a spit. I couldn't eat it, once I saw the whole thing there, it was just too much for me. Someone finally brought me a little of the meat and I tried it, it was actually pretty good, but when I saw it--I just can't do it.LOL

Well I am not going to bring up that dish I mentioned in the Milk thread

Having traveled overseas I am always amazed what passes for food and in some case they are a delicacy
In India they eat bugs, they are they large Beatles about 4 inches long and they put them on a leaf and pour some sauce on it and eat it

IN the Philippines they eat lots of seafood and its not the filleted covered up in batter kind
Hmmm Fish soup was pretty bad they put the whole fish in the pot it has kinda of a milky sauce with it but you can see the eyeballs. Course they love anything with pork and will eat the whole pig from nose to tail

My own kin-folks love: brains and eggs, fish soup,Turtle soup (which the flesh is green)

I am a sea food nut having lived on the coast but I draw the line at Dog fish

I don't mind the seaweed paper, as I love sushi. Mind you I eat vegetarian, or chicken terriyaki.

Let me see, hmmm the oddest thing that I have seen people eat, and I will NEVER eat myself, is what they call bum guts from the Moose.

My brother Douggie was teasing us one day on the rez, and he had an evil look on his face. He decided to take a piece of some fat, or bum guts, cant remember which, and tilted his head back and let that piece of fat slide down his throat.

I have eaten Gopher, it wasn't that bad. Picked a little paw out of the pot, and munched on it, not much meat.

Other then that, there is not much that I will not touch. Fish is one of them, anything from the sea is a no go. Severly allergic

I would have to say camel, it was served to us in Kuwait....also, I would have to say some wierd spider down in East Timor and Thailand.....best thing I had though was shark in Hawaii and calamari with sashimi in Guam....good stuff!!

Most modern Indians, including me & you guys, wouldn't survive , wayback then, if we didn't eat all that good stuff you're describing.

In the good old days you sometimes dream of, before the coming of the whiteman, this is what everyone ate. Fishhead soup, whale blubber, wild animal innards, bugs, turtle soup, frogs, bugs. Real tradish stuff. Aye.

No frybread, no beef taco sauce, no tomatoes.

I never had real caviar, but eating the cod eggs on the seaweed off the dock in AK was cool! They're kinda big - about the size of peas - and have little dark eye spots, and pop when you bite them. Yummy!

My kids LUV prarie dog and rock chuck. I don't mind it but haven't had any in years.

I love most seafood, except flounder, sole, clams, octopus, and catfish is just nasty!

The only kind of tripe I can eat is 'the Bible', even though it's green. The rest makes me gag.

I like to eat eels either roasted or dried, also salmon eggs, roasted salmon head, lots of different roots including black moss (baked into what we call kuunch), lots of Indian foods, I like to dig the roots, pick berries and I can even catch my own salmon, never hunted or killed a deer or elk yet and probably never will. At the longhouse the other day my granddaughter brought back a big bag of roasted eels....

What does eel taste like???? Chicken??? Seafood???? Just wondering. I don't think I could eat it. Looks too much like snakes. And my clan isn't supposed to mess with snakes.
