  • I'm offically wired! >

Atleast that what my friends are saying now. I've had some serious back problems recently and my doctor set me with a ten's machine to help the pain. It's portable electro therapy and works wonders! The wiring part is the electrodes are attached to a portable hand held control that you can attach to your waistband. For those of you that have bad pain in your back, or other places like your arm, wrist or legs this could be a painless way to deal with it. Most insurances companies will cover it. Just a warning if you get one for your back ask for the belt for it. I had hubby putting the electrodes on me at 5am until I got the belt and could do it myself. Works better and is safer than shots.

Sorry to hear that you are in pain, but also glad that you found relief. My chiropractors office has one of those, and it scares me

you should try it! I used to go to the chiropractors for a 15 minute treatment a couple times a week and pay 50.00 a treatment. This is much better and much cheaper! I have to use it 3 to 5 times a day and by useing the belt I keep working with no problem.
Oh and it also helps with arthritis problems too.

        Hi Annie

you know, in my physical therapy office way back when....they gave me those treatments and i loved it. it really worked for me. unfortunately it was only temporary. i dont have any kind of insurance. right now i have workers comp, but they only want to treat my one ankle because it was the only thing the emergency room treated. it broke when i fell back in june 2002. but the way i fell (straight down with my arms to my side) jarred all of my body and it hurts 24/7 from the top of my head to the tip of my toes.

my pain management doctor wants to start another series of those shots to the spine. very scary to me since that possibility of being paralized is always there. maybe after i try all that again, i can talk him into doing this other thing you are talking about.

so glad you have found something to help you. i wish i could toss out all the medications i am taking. between the injury and my other health problems, i am taking about dozen differnt kinds of meds every day. its kind of messed up my stomach and digestive track. what a pain to be in pain!! **laughing** ah well, just blowing some steam right now. thanks for listening....warm hugs everyone!

Please make sure your doctor checks to make sure all your medications are compatable! If they are giving you stomach problems they could be working against each other.

It kind of freaks me out to be honest, what exactly does it feel like?

one of my doctors is very good and did check for compatibility of my medications. as it turns out the majority have a lot of cautions. mostly for sleepiness, and slowing down of digestion, etc. not much they can do. i asked the pharmacist about taking so many medications together and he said there is no real way to know what the outcome would be. with so many medications in the system, all they can do is caution me. and yes, i need all the medications for all my health needs. another specialist told me i have IBS now. so he added his medications to the list. its a wonder i can function at all.

So some of you have seen me around here posting when I get stuck with my jingle dresses when i'm sewing away or when i'm in the beading section. I haven't been around in quite sometime on here because I been going through alot since late march. This past weekend was the first time I danced since the...

I had seen the weightloss apps when they first came out with smart phones, and they were kind of lame or difficult to use or crashing!

My endocrinologist wanted me to document my calorie count and a food diary, just to write this stuff down and submit them. It wasn't always convenient...

                Bad Knee(s)
                by alamosaurus
I have occasional problems with both knees. Last Saturday, I
went on a 4-mile hike in the local mountains (around L.A.). This
time it was the turn of my RIGHT knee to act up. (Last time it
was the left.) It became very stiff and painful to bend. I had
                trouble getting...

                Electric Fence
                by sneakysnake
We have the standard 6 ft. fence in the backyard, and a few months ago, I heard about burglaries increasing dramatically in the entire city. To make sure this never happened to me, I got an electric fence and ran a single wire along the top of the fence.

Actually, I got the biggest cattle...

I had this idea that I was going to rope a deer, put it in a stall, feed it up on corn for a couple of weeks,
