gas prices

morning from Texas, Del Valley to be exact any way in my town gas is still $3.59 a gallon in most places befor ike it was on the high end ,places like walmart had 3.48 .

So what are yall paying for gas these days? What part of the country are you in?do you drive or car pool ride the bus how are you copeing,do you just run with a hose lol just wondering what happing from around the country

I paid 3.91 couple days ago. I put in Chevron with Techron.

Most places in SC are over $4 with some over $5!

wow east coast is more than the west coast,, chervon is high in gas around here,but built high up in most cases mabe no water in thier tanks
i got a little coner gas store right on the Hi way 71 its old as the hills or i rember it being there as a kid.thay dont take checks and thay got all the new news,kind of fun stop. around 11 oclock at night it got the strangest mix of ppl standing backed up in a long line waiting for the most part for their turn to check out, talking all kind of trash lol, [note] dont stop after dark unless willing to mix in the mix of strange lol oh yea the only bus stop that i know of in del valley is there too

back to the gas prices i wonder why its higher in the Carolinias,no refineries in that part of the country is my frist guess,so it coust more to get the gas.

well on friday am .... the gas here in NB was 132.9 .... by lunch time .... most of the gas stations had their pumps blocked off (no gas waiting for truck to get there) .... i managed to get gas on the last "working" pump at the one of the ndn gasbars in town here. by like two or so ... they were all up at 145.9 or 146.9 i think. except for one ... and when i drove by after work .... it had six lines of cars waiting ... with about at least 12 cars in each line LOL.

So in Canadia 132.9 is not in american 1.32.9 cents right is that eros or somthing lol im didnot know rezz had gas staions.....gas bars neat..

here in Flagstaff..........it's like 3.62 average..........well, i hope it still is, I got to gas up after work.........LOL!!!

In BC it is $1.499. I heard because the hurricane missed the refineries in Texas that the gas is supposed to go down at least .20 after midnight tonight. I still think its a cash grab by the oil companies.

yeah its a dollar and forty six cents with a .09 of a cent (what the hell is the point behind that i dont know LOL)

yeah on reserve gas stations ... with a status number (like american tribal ID nums) .... we get like a 10 or 11 cent saving (no prov or fed taxes on the gas)

i heard on the radio this am .... that some places are paying 1.639 didnt here where tho ... all i heard was "some ppl in the south east" LOL

morning its $3.61 today lots of ppl heading back to houston but the city of austin is trying to tell ppl check be for you go to see if the power on on your street also thay are tell them might not be gas for on the way back or when you get there. galvoston is gone for the most part

one can google map ,the street addrest and see thier house the satalight up date pretty offten,

Recovery Efforts
City of Livingston
September 14, 2008 - 3:00 p.m.

CURFEW: Due to the electric outage now being experienced in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, the City of Livingston has imposed a curfew from 7:00 p.m. each night until 5:00 a.m. each morning. This curfew will be in effect until further notice.

FOOD, WATER AND ICE: Many of our citizens have immediate need for food, ice and water. These commodities, to be provided by FEMA, will arrive shortly and an announcement will be made as to the location and times they will be available for you. Private grocery stores and gas stations will open as soon as they can secure generators for their electric power or as soon as power can be restored.

UPDATE ON CITY SERVICES

ELECTRIC: The City of Livingston’s electrical resources have been severely compromised by Hurricane Ike. Polk County and the City of Livingston can expect to be without electric power until our provider is able to restore service. The City of Livingston anticipates that it may be ten days or longer before full power is restored in our community. The City of Livingston electrical crews are doing everything possible to have power restored to our customers. City crews are covering the preliminary assessment and repair work and additional assistance from outside contractors is on the way. That assistance will be on-site Monday, to begin working with our municipal electric crews to reconstruct our electric system.

WATER: There has been no adverse effect on the City’s water, and there is no need to boil water before its use. However, without electricity, the ability to deliver water service is somewhat diminished. PLEASE CONSERVE YOUR WATER USAGE. During this electric outage, as required under the City’s conservation and drought contingency plans, all outside water use, including irrigation systems, is prohibited.

SANITATION SERVICE: Waste Services, the City’s sanitation contractor, will begin its regular routes for trash pickup on Monday. With heavy pickup, additional delay can be anticipated.

BRUSH AND LIMBS: There was heavy wind damage during the hurricane, and our yards and streets are littered with downed trees and limbs. Brush may be collected and placed at the curb. Pickup will be scheduled as the weather permits and as our city crews are available. Pedigo Park is being used for staging of emergency personnel. DO NOT TAKE BRUSH TO THIS LOCATION.


During this period of recovery from Hurricane Ike, we appreciate your patience. Our city crews are working hard to provide for our recovery. The City extends its appreciation to the many volunteers who are contributing to this effort.
