  • I can across this BS in a message board

let me give you a back story..I'm at work, being bored, so I start reading stupid celebrity gossip. Came across this message board where it talks about how Lindsay Lohan got flour thrown on her for wear fur. People and such are giving their comments. I happen to come across this reply (in blue) to a quote that was said earlier (in purple) the name of the person who posted was 12345g (in blue). I can't remember the name of the person who wrote the info in the purple, but it was different sentences taken from her original quote. Here is the link to better understand. Message boards

this person down right pissed me off! and he made another quote a couple pages after.

    12345g Quote:
Let me clear some things up:

I have no problem with eating most animals. I do have a problem with people killing animals *solely* for the purpose of vaniety.

Native Americans had a great moral standing with this subject.

Bull sh*t! The american indians are no better then anyone else, in fact i cant think of another group of people who like killing whales just for the enjoyment of it. They dont need whale meat to survive, yet they demand the right to kill them. American Indians are arrogant and give the world nothing other than casinos and alcoholics these days.

...oh, and did i mention the part about them hunting whales with machine guns? Proud people my a$$, more like heartless scum if you ask me.

IF YOU GO ON THAT LINK THERE IS A PICTURE THAT SOMEONE POSTED. IT'S MESSAGE #266 ON PAGE 23. 12345G RESPONDS TO THAT PICTURE WITH THE FOLLOWING QUOTE:

Its funny, you look at that picture, and guess what, those were the supposed proud old days for Indians. They were savages just like everyone else. They committed atrocities like burning people alive, scalping women and children and a host of other torturous activites, and these things werent done by some lone insane guy, there were entire tribes of Indians committing these evil acts. It was part of their twisted culture.

What, did some old John Wayne movie tell you they were a proud people, or maybe an Indian said so himself? Please, take your lies elsewhere. Tell me, what have the Indians done that they should be so proud of these days?
    LET'S 49!!

        What an ignorant fool!!!!
Goes to show the kind of people who post on Lindsey Lohan...

Native's have always used whatever natural resources were available in their environment to survive. And unlike many people today, nothing was ever wasted! Nothing!

How sad the ignorance... And that is partly because the American Education system does not teach the truth. And because Hollywood values drama over truth.

Its this same attitude that still gets people in trouble for fishing and hunting under their treaty rights.

Ya know I saw a good bumper sticker the other day- it said "PETA- people for eating tasty animals"
                yup yup,

A few years back when I was IT manager at an aircraft company I was in the empty office one Sunday after church (Indian church), singing a Cherokee church song. This new Italian salesman from NJ pulled the weekend "on call" duty, & came in the bldg sometime after I'd turned off the alarm. He hadn't met me yet, and said "Who are you? What are you doing here?" I said "I'm the IT manager. running cables through the ceiling for a new workstation while nobody is here. He said "what was that you were singing, that's not English". I said "it's Cherokee". He said "you mean like Indians? I thought we wiped all of you guys out!" He wasn't being mean, just ignorant.

Dang, I would've been like "I'll prove it, let me get my knife, and I'll scalp you, just like a real indian would've done in the old days."

When I was younger, reading this kind of post would have made me so angry I would have gone looking for a complexion challenged person to get into an argument with and eventually hope that the confrontation would get aggressive and physical. Over the years I have learned that even if you provide sound, logical arguments and demonstrate positive points; most people who spew this type of venom are not going to change their minds about us. It is far better to walk away and not lose your cool or dignity. It sounds like I am recommending that they be free to say their hatred and unjust words and beliefs. The people they associate with normally hold similar views. Arguing with them about how wrong they are about our people or our beliefs is just going to give us a headache and create a lot of angst. They do have the right to feel that about whoever they want to. I have experienced so much racial intolerance and experienced bigotry over the years I should hate just as much as those who speak like the first post. I have been pulled over at 3:00 AM in Eastern Washington by the police and forced to kneel on the road with my hands behind my back just because a deputy sheriff didn't like ndns. He started talking more trash about me and accusing me of being drunk while driving. He got even more rude when he realized my wife and children were sleeping in our suburban. If I was like the person I was when I was young, I would have tried to defend my people and my own misguided sense of honor. I would have ended up in jail or at the very least pistol whipped. In those types of incidents, you have to realize that on that road only he and I knew what he was doing was wrong. I understand that it doesn't offer very much in terms of self-satisfaction but at least I get to let people know about my experiences. So when you hear people talk smack and hold racist views, ask yourself in the big picture how does that matter to you and how does it effect you.
