What are some pop-up ads you've seen on this website?
I just saw one that said "YOUR NAME IS NO ACCIDENT! SEE WHY THE TRUTH OF NUMEROLOGY DOES NOT LIE!"
As if I'm idiotic enough to fall for that scam.
I'm not responsible for my actions, I just do what the voices tell me to do.

              As a pop-up.
I also once saw a pop-up ad on this site for a stripper-pole.
I thought that website administrators had the final say on what ads could and could not appear on their site.
Btw, Could spam have something to do with the smilie glitches?

Could it be possible that since some of these ads come from external sites that the people there embedded codes into the ad to launch pop-ups?

I just saw a Google ad at the top of about 3 pages on here, that said:
"Native American Powwows. Compare prices, products, stores, and save. www.Shoping.com".

                  Ah.
                  And here's two new ads:
"Established Men: Sugar Daddy Dating. Where successful men and beautiful girls meet. Establishedmen.com"

"FlirtyGirlFitness: Are you fit to Strip?"
(the first one was a banner ad, the other one just now popped-up inside my first post on this thread. )
Please tell me Paul G. did not approve these.

                    Hi Toolbox.
                    'Nice to meet you.
I'm not sure; programming is not my forte'.
I was under the impression that companies and organizations are required to first get permission from the owner or owners of a website, before they could advertize on it; and that website owners/administrators had the ability to block any unwanted ads from their sites, and take legal action against any companies or organizations that try to get around this.
Being responsible for a website must be a real pain, sometimes.

Those aren't pop ups. A pop up is one that opens in a completely seperate window.

Yes, I can block them. It's not simply, but I can block it.

No, when I embed the code from my ad networks I set it to not allow any pops.

And how did those banner ads get on your site without your permission?
Did you e-mail them, and give them a piece of your mind?
