I just had to share this.

My partner works at an elementary school where many of our kids attend off-rez. One of my cousins gave a jingle dress to a little girl who happens to be another cousin on my Moms side. She's in the 3d grade.
She was so happy to get this dress that she took it to school to show her classmates this morning. She put it on to show them what it looks like. Nobody could get her to take it off. She wore it all day! Who said we don't have pride in who we are?

    Ever cool, eh?

                who is she!!!
                by southernx_hunnie08
A mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school. He didn't want his mother to walk with him. She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe.

So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbor, Mrs. Goodnest, if...

                Here's a joke, with a Moral!

                Subject: Johnny's favorite Aunt

The teacher gave her fifth grade class an assignment: Get their
parents to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it. The next
day the kids came back and 1 by 1 began to tell their stories....

Over a year ago a lady came to me and asked me to make her a white buckskin wedding dress. (Traditional style) I said yes, then she decided she wanted her whole bridal party to wear traditional clothing, well wait, i guess she didnt care if the were traditional, as long as it was regalia. She wanted...

                Innate Jealousy?
                by Wojapi4Me
I heard a speech by a guy recently who said that "innate jealousy" exists on reservations and serves to hold Indians back from reaching their full potential. He said that most Indians are their own worst enemies, and that the jealousy that exists makes most Indian youth strive for mediocrity...
