Help,native & tribal sites hit with viruses & malware?

I need to report this to you. I've attempted to access some tribal sites in order to find their contact email address,but when attempting to access their site,I get redirected to an unwanted site that's not even a tribal or native site & also AVG detects a threat concerning several viruses & other malware.

What is the error that AVG is giving you when you attempt to go to one of those sites?

Matt, it sounds as if you have a virus or some sort of malware running on your computer. First step is to run a full scan with AVG, which probably won't pick it up. You can also try a program called MalwareBytes, which is not an anti-virus program in the sense that it doesn't work quite the same way though it can achieve the same results. If you can get rid of the virus then next step for you to do is to ditch AVG and buy a program like Norton 360 or Kaspersky, or an old favorite of mine was Trendmicro's line of products. AVG Free edition is really only for people who have a general idea of whats on their system and want an antivirus just to double check things for them. As with most things you get what you pay for. Typically Norton 360 can be had for like $40 at a particular office supply store provided that you have their free rewards card, but you can put it on up to 3 computers (Windows only) and you get 2GB of online backup storage. Other paid anti-virus solutions offer similar features. IMO Norton 360 is the best for the average consumer as it is easy to install and set-up and it has a simple user interface. IMO the best off the shelf software is probably Kaspersky but its not as user friendly but seems to catch a bit more.

I checked Internet Explorer & Firefox,the only browser this malware is causing problems through is Opera. I'll try downloading Malwarebytes, should I try NOD32 antivirus from Eset? This is a top quality antivirus software that does what AVG & other antivirus software probably don't

You can try NOD32, I personally have never messed with it. Just about any program that you pay a subscription fee for is going to be better than AVG Free or Avast...

As for the issue only being with Opera, you should check to make sure you have the latest versions and updates for all of your browsers. If the problem still exists than maybe you should contact the site admin to find out if they have code on their site that might be causing it. There is also the possibility that you have a virus and just don't realize it and it is only interfering with certain programs.
