four legged encounters

OK.........well, a couple of weekends ago, a desert tortoise wandered into my yard...........was awesome , really, and just about the time I thought I had finally found a guy who would really listen, I was told that he was a she.................oh well............could be worse..................anyway, I think she was out looking for true love, in the way that tortoises do, but she took the time to converse with me, and it was a very enjoyable weekend , till I found out that even being close to a desert tortoise here in Arizona is illegal....................whoops!!!!!!! But I did the right thing, sigh, and called the appropriate people and they took her to a safe place, where she can be free and happy, and I know that this encounter has changed my life in a good way..............(beats the heck out of talking to these darn crows that are always talking smack when they fly over my head..............:)
