Ah, snap! Now I gotta re-filter all my facebook ‘friends’ and Xbox Live ‘friends.’ This is gonna take more time than I have this weekend… Couldn’t we have this discussion until after I open all my stocking stuffers?

Disappointment in people happens every day. If you didn't grow up with them, you are at a loss for their true background, and history.

Fakes and Users out there, keep your guard up!

Fake chat room friends, fake names, met a person in real long time ago, that one must be addicted to changing nick names, photos and became a stalker. More a troll with stalking tendencies, harmless but annoying. Let's you think you talk to a person you don't know and then reveals his true identity. Happened 6, 7, 8 times now. I guess I have no other choice but deleting my chat account there. Kinda shying away into non existence I think those kinda individuals take some kind of kick out of making others feel sick with their stalking attitude. Grrrr.....!

Friendship in this world is layered kinda like an onion, each layer has its own qualifications.

I think it's key to be consistent and -- if possible -- to keep disagreements from being emotion based.

I don't think it will surprise anyone to know that there is a Native (and other) contingent that doesn't necessarily care for me.

    1. Too opinionated.
    2. Arrogant.
    3. Self-righteous.
    4. Dismissive.

While each of these things has occurred on occasion (of which I am self aware) a strongly defined personal trait is the complete inability to accept excuses for behavior, including mine.

If holding someone accountable for their actions or lack thereof makes someone believe me a "fake friend," we were never friends to begin with.

    It's just logical.

Family can sometimes be the worst, especially after the death of a loved one. I've found cousins that I never knew I had calling me after funerals asking to get together and if they've seen [insert list of random items here].

*sigh* - fake friends aren't friends at all. They tend to jump off when it get's the slightest bit uneasy instead of finding solutions to any problems that may occur... and ofc there are always those who pretend just to get from you what they wanted. I think I know why I have withdrawn from most people in life and then you meet new people who may are just pretenders as well, thinking solely about their own pleasure. They don't care and if you do care, then they take it for granted or take it and if you need someone to BE a friend... then you might as well talk to yourself, hug yourself and care for yourself. What a sick society. Gotta develop an eye for the real people. Not always easy, huh?

Just has to weed out a few fake 'friends'. I finally took off the blinders and realized just how manipulative, inconsiderate and narcissistic they were.

    Friends come and friends go.

    Why are people so rude?
    by Cherie
Someone told me it had to do with someones culture. Then someone said people are rude because they can do it and know they can get away with it.

I saw on a local news program where it was mentioned by a guest that people are more rude today then they were 20 or 30 years ago.Rudeness...
