New Year's Resolution 2014:
I want to try to finish one unfinished project or chore a week. Unfinished twining. Unfinished beading. This thing or that thing I started and threw in a drawer or one chore that was too overwhelming that I put it on the back burner.
I might not lose weight this year, but I should have 52 finished projects in the bag.

I'm making 2014 (and all days leading up to it), my "Get your butt into gear and stop piddling around" year. I'm one of those people who makes giant lists of outgoing things I'd like to do but never seem to pluck up the courage to do them.
Soooo, 2014 is the year Fang gets out of her comfort zone and starts growing some balls.

So far my resolution is going strong though. Getting ahead of the game and working on a ton of new jewelry designs, stepping up my game in my metalwork and chainmaille, and currently working on the next phase of my latest sculpture.

I do not have any provisions, because I know that the year is really long. You can not know exactly what he can bring and how it will affect our decisions. And then, in fact - disappointed, because I promised a man of different things, in practice it turned out that much of that did not work out or not work out the way you wanted.Codziennie budzę się piękniejsza, ale dziś to już chyba przesadziłam

Yes, I make New Year Resolutions, and Yes! I then "Break" them a little while after. So this year, my New Years Resolution is going to be "Not Make Any New Year Resolutions" because then I will not feel Bad when I "Break" them. Lol. I am going to have "New Year Goals" instead lol, being, Things I want to do...Places I want to go, and get the confidence to do it, etc etc, and take it One Goal At A Time.Last edited by Siobhanni; 12-29-2013, 07:46 PM.

For some reason, I'm not too big of a fan of the title "resolutions". Half the things we claim to be resolute about seem to rarely get resolved (or are things that don't even need resolving). It just comes off as sounding like we're peer pressured into making promises to ourselves for things that are often not big enough to bother promising. Each year we set ourselves up to break open ended promises.
I like the idea of a "Yearly To-do" list instead. At least for me, most of the things I want to accomplish are menial enough that I can view them as part of a long term shopping/chores list, rather than an unnecessary list of promises to myself of impractical changes to my being.

In years past, I haven't had much luck sticking to any resolution. This year will be a bit different. After my life saving liver transplant (due to autoimmune hepatitis), I gained over 50 lbs due to some of my medication that I'm taking. I plan to exercise more. I'm not going on some diet. I just want to be more active.
Good luck to those who do make resolutions for the new year!! Take care of your bodies!Bead All You Can Bead

I want to know if any one wants to share their new years resolution for 2009? Maybe we could keep tabs on each other if we stuck to it or how its going so far. I wont share if no one else does though.
