  • Saving PVT Lynch

Well I've watch the first 30 minutes and I'm ....well to keep it clean....what a crock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we all heard stories about Lori Piestewa's bravery. Did we see any of it here? Not really, they show her driving a HumV and that's it!!! What is that $hit??

Anyone else watch any of it to see if they showed anything on Lori????

The only thing I have heard about Lori was an interview with Jessica herself in which she spoke a great deal about Lori and her bravery. She herself seems to be the only one who cares..not the media.Very unfortunate...they chase the $$$$ only don't they!

Like I said the only reason I wanted to watch it was to see how much they mentioned Lori. Damn shame they didn't do the honorable thing and tell the story the right way. But on a good not from what I saw they made Lynch look like an idiot :Chatter

Do you think it's at least partially because she survived and thus there is a story that people watched as it developed during the war?
And the heros in that scenario might be the man who told the soldiers about her and the soldiers who actually rescued her.

It's possible. Sad you don't hear about Shoshana Johnson. She's a survivor as well. Guess minorities don't really matter when it comes to the media (or anything else...... except for the one day or month of the year). :Mad

The media is a money crazed group of azzholes who are looking for sensationalism and I could not agree more.

That's what I was thinking too.. "What about Shoshana?" She's alive too. Seems like they're just focusing all the attention on Jessica. It's good that she's back home safe but, they act like she's the only one. What about all the guys that was with them and made it back? I did watch the beginning of that movie, but was kinda disgusted when all they showed of her conversating was, "Im a free woman, my divorce went thru".

THe show was called saving pvt lynch wasn't it? Since that is the name of it I would think that she would be the main person talked about and so forth. Why would you call the show one thing and then turn the main focal point onto another individual? I'm assuming that it was aimed on her trials and errors, what she went through what she endured and what her feelings and thoughts were while going through what she did. Looking at it from a non-biased veiw I agree that lori should be honored and perhaps even a tribute made but I don't think it should be made just and only because she was a native woman but because she was a human, an individual that gave her life for a greater cause. Lori was more then a native woman she was a mother, a daughter, a grandchild to someone she was a young person fighting for what she believed in, narrowing her main focal point in life to just being native wouldn't do her the justice she deserves. I think that the only thing that lori and jessica might of had in common was fighting for their country and being a woman in the military, other then that I don't think that the two should be incased within the same story because both of their stories within this battle were different.
There should be a law against stupid people being able to breed!

Did anyone see her interview last night on Primetime? It was pretty good, and she came right out and said that lots of stuff on that movie didn't even happen. They interviewed some of the doctors and nurses over in Iraq that took care of her and they called that Muhammed guy a liar.

She was pretty humble and said that she was not a hero, that the people that rescued her were the true heroes. But she never gave up during her ordeal and I admire her for that.
                            ...it is what it is...

I watched her interview, not the movie. I thought it was a great interview. She mentioned Lori alot, and so did the news people during the interview.
I remember when Shoshana Johnson was missing. They interviewed her family on TV and then they talked to her when she came back home. Let's face it, Lynch was rescued by a secret overnight mission where they just went in and got her. The others I believe were released weren't they? People like action and drama and so therefore you get a movie about the rescue of Lynch. That's the way it works folks.

While you're healthy it's easy to say that you don't want to be resusitated or hooked to any machines to help sustain life, but when it comes down to life or death...who wouldn't want to be saved??
