IN NY.. my dad was a singer in a quartet with two guys who are now famous Oak Ridge Boys. Well my mom was dating the Oak Ridge boy with the short beard (original 4) and got to know them all and then my dad and her fell in love.

At a dance in Oakland. My dad acted to slow so my mom made the first move. They continually joke I am the same way as my dad. I'm slow to engage the first move but I'm just making sure I don't get turned down I guess.

Mine met at a bowling alley. They were both bowling in a Battle of the Sexes Tournament in Birmingham, Al. and both were the score keepers for their teams and back then it was done by hand.
