This upgrade is wearing on me.......I believe blood quantums are the governments way to breed us out of existance !
They say blood is thicker than water ! Now maple syrup is thicker than blood , so are pancakes more important than family ?

Well, it looks like some posts have reappeared from upgrade hell.
Forgive me if I already told folks this. Last year I tried to make up for seriously curtailed treat-or-treating during the shutdown for my colleagues' kids and grandkids by making sizable treat bags. A few weeks ago, one of my colleagues' little boy asked if I was going to do it again this year. So, I'm going to make treat bags for my colleagues' kids and grandkids. (And for the employees too.)
I have learned I have some weird compulsion about these things. Somewhere deep inside me, a little girl begins to plan out the prefect Halloween haul. The problem is the little girl has access to my checkbook and Sam's Club membership, LOL. I've been squirreling stuff away in the server room (nice and cool in there) at work since the halloween candy showed up in the store.
IT is replacing the firewall this Sunday. I was just texted a picture and asked why 50 lb of candy was piled behind the empty switch rack. I'm glad he hasn't found the boxes of raisin, the bags of peanuts and the boxes of halloween Hostess treats in the file room, LOL.
I may need that for food. It looks like I'm getting a meat and vegetable free grocery order again this week. I've got the idiot shopper again. No hamburger, so she sends me a picture of shelves full of bread and asks if I see something else I want instead. Hint, hon, bread not equal to ground beef. Well, I may take you out to Friday afterrnoon shopping every week with Mom. We may not get everything you like though we might get more what you like than I expect. I forgot it was TCU vs OU football this weekend. I never shop then. Every TCU and OU alum with a pulse -- and a few without -- were tailgating on the TCU campus. My store is the closest to the football stadium. I was lucky there were napkins, dish soap and bread still in stock, LOL. I tried to shop on a major Texas religious holiday, LOL.
I got all the heavy stuff I can't get up the steps with my hips. If I do a small curbside pick up order Tuesday, after they restock, I should be good. If it is just two bags, I'll be able to get up up the stairs with my cane.
We're going to have to get you over here to NM. A couple of green chili and chicken burritos from Burrito Express, a bowl of carne adovada from Mary and Tito's, green chili and pork stew with fry bread from Yaaka, some roast mutton and green chili from the 9th St flea market.... We'll get your taste buds adjusted.

LOL, that is as if going shopping on Sundays and state holiday days just across the border in the Netherlands. It is more like an overcrowded stadium of soccer, football or baseball.
Sigh, Getting over to NM, TX , ND proves to be more difficult than I anticipated. Not only due to Corona which still makes a lot of paperwork. Who shall take care of Mom as there is none else besides me. TX, NM and SD will be here for a long time.
If you insist on coming to TX then you must go to Palo Duro Canyon. It is beautiful. (I highly recommend the Lighthouse cabin in the park, btw.) Great birdwatching. Go in the fall because it can be hotter than h-e-double toothpicks in the canyon.
The last major engagement of the Red River Wars was fought there. Col Ranald Mackenzie attacked a Kiowa, Southern Cheyenne, Arapahoe and Comanche camp. He burned the lodges and winter food supplies. The troops rounded up and slaughtered over a thousand horses on the canyon rim. It is said hoofbeats can be heard on dark nights.

Been there a couple times ! You can feel the old ones. My younger brother (on the white side) is a big time real estate guy and rancher.
