Those who know do not write and those who write may not know. Frank W. Louis, No such Agency
True peace between nations will only happen when there is true peace within people’s souls.

“Tell me, and I will listen.
Show me, and I will understand.
Involve me, and I will learn.”
Lakota Proverb
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace.

Since we get a lot of Mardi Gras news here, I've been craving King Cake and a Shrimp Po'Boy. I brought some to share so help yourselves.
If anybody has any spare rain they could trade, we'll take it. We are 70% behind in rainfall already this year. Combined with all the dry foliage from the late freezes we had, fire season is shaping up to be rather scary.

Take nothing for granted. Life can change irrevocably in a heartbeat.
My across the street neighbor's had a crawfish boil last night. It smelled so good. Only my stiff hips kept me from storming the festivities.
Now I want to go to Blue Cajun for a good Viet-Cajun crawfish boil. Since I attended the online version of the annual tradeshow/conference in Houston, I didn't get to go to Crawfish and Noodles. If you're ever in Houston during crawfish season, you need to go and get the Viet-Cajun crawfish or the tamarind blue crabs. Beyond yummy.
It's pretty much crawfish season all year around here. There's a crawfish farm and the last weekend in April, there's a Crawfish Festival. A group of church ladies do some Crawfish Etouffee that will knock your socks off. There's also the guy who has Gator on a Stick that's pretty good, too.

I’m ready for winter to leave. We’re having unseasonably cold weather. Ice fell out of the sky again today. We’re going to have sleet again on Friday. I want to be warm. My joints are hating this cold.
Weather freezing in the night, warming up on morning and sun in the afternoon. This morning wind blowing.

There's meant to be some gorgeous views of Mars this weekend. I, of course, being a LOD sufferer, will not be seeing it because the local weather is once again predicted to be nothing but a mess.
But for those of you who have an interest at all and clear skies as well, have a look up...
This year, my family decided to make a list of a powwows we had never attended and Red Earth made the cut. THUNDER had nothing to do with it of course...ahem!
Oklahoma City is a beautiful city, this writer had only been there once before, many years...
I'm interested in hearing what people do each day for their own health, or for their families' health. I'm hoping this will become a running thread for people to post on a somewhat daily basis what they did each day that is healthy. Wellness, as is was brought up on another thread, is a HUGE area...
I see that the first 2 major powwows have been postponed/cancelled because of the fear of spreading Covid 19 / Corona virus.
Do you think this was wise or is everyone in a panic ?
