Well, Golden Crown Panaderia http://goldencrown.biz/wp/?page_id=774 looks like we can order and they deliver.
We have no Elk in the freezer for the green chili stew. I am deeply sorry.
Lemon empanada we may get https://www.laconchabakery.com/product/lemon-empanada/
OL Chemist how shall we loose weight when we are so much commanded by food?
Forgot, I am on a new beaded small bag but I have beaded too close to the upper edge for attaching the drawstring.

Pizza, sounds so good. I haven't had one in ages.
Chuy, can you make a pepperoni pizza with a green chili crust, like the ones at Golden Crown Panaderia? If you can't manage the pizza, I'll take a grilled cheese and a cup of green chili stew, please. While you're at it a lemon empanada for dessert.
Where is Milehigh and his freezer full of elk? Elk in that green chili stew would be lovely. With chicos.
Dang, I'm hungry.
How is everyone? Anyone making anything pretty?Last edited by OLChemist; 01-25-2022, 09:32 AM.

Rain is not cat weather.
How about another cartoon of blackberries?
Just had a devils pizza but I think you or WD would fins here hellishly hot.
Pizza is (was) sometimes called Mafia Pie.

It's raining for the first time since last year. The weeds I call a lawn are going to freak out.
Poor Jet. He was feeling peckish and came over to beg just before it started. My neighbor's cats can hear cat food hitting a bowl on the moon from inside their house while asleep.... As soon as the kibble hit the dish, they came boiling out of their cat flap and swarmed Jet's dish. He's now trapped by the rain on the porch with the riffraff. He's poised halfway down the porch steps, just shy of where the eaves end, debating a dash across the street for the neighbor's porch swing. He keeps putting a foot on the next step then pulling it back, shaking the water off his paw.

I just had the best blackberries from Amazon Fresh. Cheap even, especially for this time of year. I'm struggling not to order 6 more cartoons for the rest of the week. Amazon makes grocery whims way too easy.

Well, WD you're sterner stuff than I -- as I have known all along. Pre-arthritic hips and knees, I would have enjoyed it. But now I'd be frozen on the edge of my camp cot, like the Tin Man after a thunder storm. If I had to sit on the ground with my legs tucked to the right like a proper Lakota woman, it would take an act of deity to get me to my feet, LOL.

I am not sure if I would try again.
Outside we are at 41°F, almost 100% low clouds, drizzle announced.
Inside it is 70°F at least that says the thermometer but the bones say I am cold. Cold feet, cold hands, cold shoulders. Something is wrong.
Have a nice Sunday.Last edited by Broken Arrow; 01-23-2022, 06:44 AM.

One year , I can't recall which , mid 80s sometime , my brother and I did a primitive camp at Ft. Martin Scott down in Fredericksburg. When we woke up Sunday morning it was 11 degrees and there was a fog in the low area across the field from us , with a big ol' buck standing right out in the middle of it all ! Absolutely beautiful ! We were in a 22' tipi with liners and we had a nice fire pit built inside and it was probably 50 degrees or so inside. Quite comfy actually. We had robes on the ground and cots and sleeping bags. It was a good weekend !

18F this morning. And for those of us who endured last winter's TX electric grid problems: 70,000MW committed capacity; 4600 MW reserve capacity and 60,000MW of demand.
It's mornings like this that make me very glad to be born in the age of central heat and electric blankets. I can't imagine a morning like this in a log cabin or hide tipi. If we could just send those romantic wannabes out to the "restroom" in the aftermath a blue norther. I suspect they'd be a lot less enamored after their bits froze off.
One of my favorite movies is The Lion In Winter. In one of the early scenes, Henry II gets out of the bed of his mistress, breaks the ice off the water in the wash basin and throws it to the floor. That's how I felt this morning when I crawled out of bed, LOL.Last edited by OLChemist; 01-21-2022, 11:37 AM.

44°F more or less. Snowy rain and wind bursts. feeling was wet air breezing.
Hot coffee for all. Think I need to buy a wagon load across the border.
Hot soup you may get too. Rice pot soup, potato soup with bock sausage, pea soup with sausage, green beans with bacon, potatoes and chicken cutlets.

There's meant to be some gorgeous views of Mars this weekend. I, of course, being a LOD sufferer, will not be seeing it because the local weather is once again predicted to be nothing but a mess.
But for those of you who have an interest at all and clear skies as well, have a look up...-

by ndnMSWI'm interested in hearing what people do each day for their own health, or for their families' health. I'm hoping this will become a running thread for people to post on a somewhat daily basis what they did each day that is healthy. Wellness, as is was brought up on another thread, is a HUGE area...
