Who uses artificial Christmas trees or the real deal?


We always get the real deal. But the house in Shasta comes decorated so we have a Thanksgiving filled with Christmas cheer!

you HAVE to go with a REAL tree..
yea i know steppin' on the dried up pine needles is a mofo and hurts like crazy... but it's all worth smellin' the fresh pine scent- ahhhhhh!
come to think of it...it's actually dangerous setting up that sucker, loading up all the strings of lights on one circuit, and watering the plugged in tree - i dunno how many times my cat has tried to climb the tree either... psycho! he even eats the lil' cotton skirt @ the bottom, yea he's a weird one!
but i've always had a REAL charlie brown lookin' x-mas tree

We own a 7ft spruce but I'm not putting it up this year. it's loaned out to a museum. Hubby wants a real tree this year. ONLY if it has a root ball to plant when we are done!

I hate cutting down and killing a tree just for the sake of decoration! We do take out the dead ones and put them in the lake for crappy (it's a fish) beds.

its been a tradition in my ndn household to go out and cut down our own tree.... last year we didn't get to cut it fresh, but we did search the tree farm for the perfect one.

I would have to say a real tree. We tried the fake stuff but man it took hella time to put together. So we jus go with whats already out there, the real stuff. It's nicer but sometimes hard to get rid of. :)

my family always puts up a real one and this is my 1st time chosing for myself...so....ill probably go w/ a fake one so i dont have to go and search for the "right tree" ..my time is money:p

at my grammas we've always had a real tree..until couple years back when my family started having lil indians! LOL..so cuz of the hazards of crawling babies and sticking pine needles in their little baby mouths..we gotta go with the fake ones.....but it's all good..don't have to water that tree every two days!

..haha..but my one aunt who has all grown up kids..has a real tree every year..and I swear..that thing is like 6 feet around! that one time...she even had a bird nest with bird eggs in it! crazy..it kinda reminded me of the Grizwalds chrismtas tree on National Lampoons christmas! LOL

We wanted a tree this year, but with a 10 month old puppy and 2 cats, it aint happening.. LOL

but what we have done, is placed 2 branches from a cotton wood tree up on our wall, that's been there for near a year and a half that still looks good. we decorate that with lights and balls and what not.

in the house.Every year we decorate our huuuuuge tree out in our front yard with the lights and and deck the yard out I always find time to not be around when its time to put away tho.

artificial last year. this year thinkin of gettin a smaller one. real ones are too messy when the needles start falling off. back home its fun to go out and find a real one. :)
