Recently I bought mulling spices to flavor apple or cranberry juice - you heat them up and it makes it like cider - it's like Christmas in a cup!

but the one drink i really like isn't really for holidays but mainly special occasions. Its where u mix ginger ale or sprite and sherbet. hmm i love that stuff. its kinda like a float!

AWWW, and i can't forget the Cranberryrita @ Applebee'z muh sister and i had these one year and they were SOOO GOOOD!!!

my boss brought in Wassel for us last week... never had it before. But it smelled good... and surprisingly it was amazing! Mmmmm... :)

Um.. does anyone know how to make it?

I heard her say something about cider, orange juice, nutmeg, or cinnamon... and a bunch of other things...:6:

Wassail

Ingredients
1 gallon apple cider
2 quarts cranberry juice
1 tablespoon aromatic bitters
4 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon white allspice
2 oranges, studded with cloves
2 cups rum (optional) <--- sure it is


Instructions
Combine the ingredients and heat gently. Serve warm.

Yield: 30 servings

It's good with Pepparkakor, this little Swedish cookie you put in the palm of your hand and jab with your finger. If it breaks into pieces, you get a wish!! I've tried about seven today and got three wishes. :)

Yield: 10 servings

1/2 c Molasses
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Butter
1 Egg, well beaten
2 1/2 c Sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Ginger
1/2 ts Cinnamon

Heat molasses in small saucepan to boiling point. The boil 1 minute.
Add sugar and butter and stir until butter is melted. Cool. Beat in
egg. Sift together flour, salt, soda and spices. Add to first mixture
and mix thoroughly. Cover bowl tightly and chill overnight. Roll out
a portion of the dough at a time on lightly floured pastry cloth.
Roll out thin. Cut into desired shapes. Bake in a moderate oven (350)
6 to 8 minutes. Yield: 10 dozen cookies Note: The dough may be shaped
into a roll and wrapped in waxed paper. Chill thoroughly overnight or
longer. Slice thin and bake in moderate oven (350). These should be
stored in an air-tight container - allow flavor to "ripen".
