  • Today is the birthdate of one of my dearest friends..

Larry Bennett Preston, who died in 1991 of Lupas, was my best friend. Today is his birthday - his spirit remains with me - always uplifting me and making me smile and laugh at the stupidest ****.

Here's to you Larry - you made such an impression on my life - and I thank you for being you - there was only one Larry. :)

    Love you my friend.

For my beautiful great aunt Jean, whom we buried today, I love you and already miss you. Seeing you lying there broke my heart, but I will try and remember that you haven't left us, you are simply waiting in the other room, waiting for us to cross the threshold one by one.

    My aunty Jean...

    Alone on a mountain

I hope that I am putting this in the correct section... This piece of prose was originally written after much frustration, and the pain of betrayal...But now that I read it again, I realise that it could be read as a natural, and spiritual world versus the guns, germs, and steel (As Jared Diamond would...
