Gucci Watch Autentation

How does one tell that the watch they have is real? Very nice Gucci Watch I have my eyes on, here in a pawnshop in Vancouver. It has a serial number on the back, and is stamped with the Gucci Logo, and also on the inside of the watch there is the same serial number and logo. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated:)

If I was you I would go to a Gucci retailer and ask them. Also alot of pawn shops make people give them reciepts and contact information for where an item was bought, by whom it was purchased and when. Maybe you could ask them to show you a reciept if they have one or some other type of record of authenticity. Again going to a Gucci retailer also seems like a good idea they will know how to distinguish between a real and a fake. You don't even have to tell them you want to buy one at a pawn shop, just be all converstational and slip in there the ? How would the average consumer be able to tell a real from a fake, I mean like what if my boyfreind bought me a Gucci watch how would I know it was really a Gucci and not just a knock-off?

How much are they selling the watch for at the pawnshop? That I think would be your best indication of whether or not it's real. Just make sure to take a magnifying glass and check it over closely.

Oh and by the way - you can get a new Gucci watch for 50 bucks US on the web.

I say you put it up on Ebay as an Authentic Native American Competetion Time Telling Device.:Chatter .. for two reasons:

1) I am sure you will get enough backlash from authentic Gucci enthusiaists to point out the differences between a real watch and an imposter.

2) If a White person bids on it, it's fake.
