My last post on this thread before the one earlier today was on October 9. But earlier today, on the page where the names of the different threads are listed, it shows the last poster and the date & time they posted. At that time it showed that I was the last poster and had posted yesterday at 11:35



I even like it when it's cold. I loved winter in Minnesota!

Anyway, I'm not partial to any one season. We've had a nice warm fall for about a month. Now we're getting ready for snow, so it's gonna the rest of fall is gonna be more like winter. But you never know....sometimes we have mild winters with not much cold or snow.

Spring is always fickle here, tho. Just when you think the weather's getting nice, it gets cold and snowy again.

But I'll post now. Although gorgeous, high 80s - low 90s in late October is just wrong!

There's just something about wrapping up in ablanket with someone and drinking a hot cup of coffee!

Fall just barely beats out Spring for me. I prefer cold weather to hot weather, but it really depends on what part of country I'm in.

There's just something about the crispness in the air during the fall. I love it when it is cold enough for a light jacket. It makes me feel invigorated and energetic. We don't have the fall colors down here - most things go directly from green to brown.

Growing up, we used to drive the Kiamichi Trail every fall to see the beautiful colors! Just gorgeous!

Fall has definitely come to Austin.

yeah RDNKJ~ that feeling of energy is exactly why i love Fall! that and all the beauty all around up here where we do get the colors! this year the trees have already started changing, even with all this heat. but today is just a gorgeous Fall day. only 72 right now and a cool breeze blowing. i finally am able to open the windows all up and shut off the air conditioners.

Autumn is beautiful, and I do love Autumn, but I wish we could skip over most of Winter. Two weeks of snow and Christmas and then Spring/Summer/Fall again would suit me just fine.

I like fall also. The harvesters are done, it's not as humid, but powwow season is over for Oklahoma. So on to the benefit dances!

I forgot to mention that there will be a Powwow in M'Chigeeng First Nation here on Manitoulin Island on September 4th and 5th, just two days before Labor Day. It is still summer and the first day of Autumn is September 23rd.

I could see what you mean that () Winter is coming soon after the Autumn. It was very hard in the Winter than any other seasons. But I think that is the way we have four seasons as a life cycle as times goes on and on.

I love Fall the best, no flying bugs or crawling bugs and the leaves are soooo beautiful and peaceful. Also cooler weather including some days as cold weather, not like Winter. :

YES! my thoughts exactly...there are more good things i can think of for Fall than for any other time of year. its also the start for fun holidays too! *laughing*

Summer for me. Winter can be terrible where I live (not nearly as bad as the upper mid-west). Really the time from April through to the end of October is nice.

Spring means the birds are coming back, those that do not winter here, and the trees are leafing out. My flowers are budding and I can sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy them.

Autumn is sad: Most of the birds have gone South and the plants are all in dead Winter mode, and I don't look forward to shoveling five feet of snow away from my mailbox.

hello NELING4~ good to see you again. yes, Autumn can be sad for some. but i always start decorating at the beginning of each month with lights and bright colors. inside and out, and keep them up the whole month. so i have something to look forward to thats festive and bright. i dont like spring because it tells me summer is soon coming and i hate summers, especially here in the east! too humid this year. maybe when i move to the oregon coast, i will love summer.
