A lot have change so much. You can not go back the way it was in the old days unless you want to lead a traditional life without modern technologies. This goes the same for Amish people in their communities. Some young people learned how to live in the modern world and then decide if they want to stay in the modern world or go back to being Amish.
For me as 68 years old, I would not want to go back again but it would be nice to use some of the old ways like traditional dances and customs. I would miss my computer which I come to rely on so much for communicating with members like you.
What I would like in the modern world is to have shaman or medicine man or woman to cure us with traditional rites or ceremonies in the hospital environment setting. I would love that very much instead of real doctors. I would share the tobaccos with one of them to perform the ceremony to make me get well.

bah! with the urine and brain mixture, I probably woldn't need bugspray, but yes, a hot shower!
