I remember those well! Kinda makes me feel old

I do know, that even with all my name changes, I was member like 700 or something like that, from back in the day. Early 99 or 2000. It's truly amazing to see how the site has evolved into what it is today.

Great job to everyone for making it like that

I've only been on for a year this month, but my favorite memory so far has to be the live chat during the Webcast of Red Earth powwow. That was a lot of fun - some great dancing, singing and really, really enjoyable joking and conversation. Lots of great people that I've met here - I'm kinda lost without my daily (many times daily, actually) fix of pw.com.

Who remembers this version of the forums:

That is actually the 2nd version of the forums. I first used a site called BeSeen for the forums, then moved to UBB, then to vBulletin.

That is definetly one of our best memories only from the other side we were there (myself, ndnkidz and ok24stacey) doing the chatting
Everybody that was chatting kept asking who is that laughing all the time and we kept saying thats ndnkidz!!!
We had a blast doing the webcast with Paul and have already volunteered for next Red Earth!!!

Yah, I remember that bulletin board. It all seemed so easy to use then. Simple. Now this website is so huge and has so many kinds of features. I liked the old days when we chatted more and laughed more. Not sure I like all this video stuff and personal pages on Face Book, My Space, etc. I took mine down after I got spammed. Someone was using mine and my friends' usernames to send porn videos. That was just too much.

I prefer the "KISS" method in most things -- you know, Keep It Simple, Stupid!" Maybe I'm showing my age, huh.

I still love the calendar and the forums. Keep up the good work u guys.

I remember that bulletin board too... it changed either just before or just after I joined I think...

I remember the scheduled chats Mato and I used to either hold or do on Wednesdays and how we'd get asked to punt people out of chat for the fun of it LOL! It got pretty goofy in there at times but it was always fun!
Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear... just sing, sing a song.sigpic

I'm fairly new, but my favorite memory is the powwows TV. I love to make videos and watch videos. I've watched several of the fancy shawl dancers as well as other dancers.

I thought it would be fun for everyone to see what some of the "old timers/founding members" thought about the changes since the boards first started. I classified founding members as those that joined in the first year. If anyone else would like to ask them members questions, or add their...

I can't say when the term golden age started. I do remember the days when the 35 and over was started for fancy dancers. Then it became 40....then 45...then 50 and so on. Then it came to all categories including women. Then I began hearing the term golden age beginning at 50...then 55...now it's up...

                              - I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.
                              - More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can’t wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that’s not only better, but also more directly involves me....

                              1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

                              2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

                              3. I totally take back...
