    New here

    I am new here..chekkin it out!
    I am a dance consultant for our local youth dance group. I thought I would come in and check this place out. See what's happening and get ideas for the youth. I teach the girls: Northern Traditional, Fancy and Jingle basic steps..(if that is what you wanna call it..basic steps ;) ) Just to get them started. Also we teach proper powwow etiquette, about wopilas (give-a-ways) and various types of gatherings. Also the group dances at local events to educate the non-ndn population on contemporary style of native dancing..and that yes..WE STILL DO EXSIST.
    Anyway, glad to be here.

                ... Ha ha ha... that reminds me when I was at a pow wow last week there was this little white girl say to her mother.. "Mommie, Look there's another Indian!".. I walked by thinking DUH.... I hate it when people think that we aren't around anymore...
