Welcome to the site. Hope you find it as enlightening as I do. It's nice to find a place where the people can connect. There's more out there and this is a place where our feelings can touch and our voices can be heard. I find this site great because we don't get many PowWows down here in the mountains and money to travel is hard to come by. But as the Appalachian Cherokee Tribe grows maybe we can get more PowWows. Great Spirit willing.

T-Day was great! LOTS of stuffing and turkey. I love stuffing... and brocolli fluff, and cranberry sauce (the canned kind -- silly I know)!!! Sounds like you had a good time, too!

Enjoyed watching them all dance and when i get my regalia started/finished would like to dance inter-tribal...My favs are fancy/grass dancers and the good lookin' native hunks that wear those type regalia.

Hello Everyone:
I am Atsila'hawini(Fire Inside). My name was gifted me by my clan mom.
I am also new here. But not to the native way(s). I am Cherokee from my fathers side; my grandfather. I honor my ancestors as well as my other brothers and sisters from other tribes.
I live in Mobile, Alabama. With my husband, Thunder, and our two wonderful children. I have many pets and i LOVE it!
I look forward to meeting and sharing with all here....
