    salterman,

    Welcome to powwows.com!

I am part San Juan too! I have danced at the June 24 Comanche dance. I am Winter Clan.

I really enjoyed the pictures on your website. I am proud of the accomplishments of the San Juan Pueblo youth group. My God Son (Mihegan Attencio) still lives at the pueblo and I am proud that he dances as well!

As I was looking through the Washington D.C. pictures, it made me think of Duane Blue Spruce who was one of the architectural designers of the NMAI building. Duane is also San Juan! Duane's grandmother Juanita and my grandmother were first cousins.

If there is anything I can help you with on powwows.com let me know. I am one of the moderators.
Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.

          Thanks

Hope you can come home sometime and dance again. I spoke with my family and they know yours. They are all winter as well. Take care and keep the faith.
