I Just Don't Understand Why Some People Want To Be Something Their Not. Why Can't You Be Happy With Who You Are? 'cause You Have Ancestors That May Have Done Great Things - So Do Some Research And Find Out And Learn To Be Happy And Accept Who You Are.

Ok at the time in june-August 2005, i was not married then but single ok, and i went with my cherokee finance to his friend who said he was an elder and a storyteller (well i known for a fact that he is in one of the books as a storytell) but as an elder i not sure ok, he was from the wolf clan and he said he would also do a cherokee marriage service over us after we had the legal marriage service and also he would like to adopted me into his family as his daughter may i would not become an cherokee but my finance at the time thought i would be, as he had known this man for over 11 years and was his brother. This man also run the local small sweet lodge.

That is all what happened at the time.

its not the adoption thing that im against persey. at one point in history adopting a person was a thing of merit. today its just another thing of whimsy, like a person walking up and asking for an official ndn name and no more important.
this girl is not only not native, shes not even american. shes had this romantic dream of becoming indian since she was 12.
that alone screams to me wannabe but some of the other stuff she mentioned to me in an attempted azz chewing pm cinched it. im not impressed with her as a person or even as a human being as her motives seem to me to be completly ulterior

The creator knows whom i am and it is not a romatic dream, and it is not my fault i was born white and australian and not native american..

Yes i am trying to do it over here, and the elder over there is supporting me.

i only came on the computer just to have a few hours off from crying from remembering my husband and whatever i say in my heart, and what i feel, which my late husband knew about and which we discussed, flute maker would not understand that is his choice and i respect him on what he says, but he does not know whom i am and i dont know him of course, so let it at that ok.

what got me at first was that it sounded like you thought being adopted by a cherokee family made you cherokee.
it doesnt, it only makes you a memer of that family. but ive moved on,now im sickened by the fact that your husbands body is still warm and youre talking about being "a good cherokee wife".
austrailia has its own indiginous people, why not go pretend to be one of them? they've got some way cool traditions too.
it'll save you the airfare and it'll save the real cherokee people the embarssment that is you

I am talking in the future in years to come if i remarry and if i marry a cherokee person ok, as before i meet my late husband i meet a cherokee man who wanted to marry me and i would learn to become a proper cherokee wife if i did marry.


Of course i not thinking on those lines at present, i mourn my late husband all the time and i am crying for him, nearly all day and night ok as i had known him for a long time and he knew my interest in tradional native american culture.

In fact before we got married it was his idea for me to go to usa to see pow wows etc as he did not want to fly because of 9/11 and the only reason i was left some little money from my late mother who loved travelling around the world so i was able to do so in remember of her.

I thought maybe some time this year i would go back just to see pow wows and do sweats and no other reason.

And no it is not a resume ok just stating the facts as i see it.

And no the people who are are my friends understand this and are not embrassed to know me even if they are cherokee or whatoever.
