  • Hey guys! (and gals!)

Hello, everyone! I'm Dark Horse (Austin) and I'm Registered with the Eastern Band Cherokee and the Overhill Nation of Cherokee Descendants. I"m still very new to all of this. I was adopted by my Grandmother, Luanie in August of last year and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with every bit of this journey. I always knew I belonged with these people I now call my family because of my attitude, skills, and spirituality. I have always been deeply connected with animals, especially birds and horses(I have 2: Thunder, a 15 year old Missouri Fox Trotter, and Lakota( Koti), a 5 year old Tennessee Walker), i've always been the outdoors type, and my religion is VERY important to me. Being connected with the Creator is all I need! I started Pow Wow dancing in September and just looking back to then, I can see how much more mature and fluid I have become. My dancing dream is to be a grass dancer but I have to get my knee fixed (tore my MCL slightly while playing Ultimate and it likes to come out of place when I do certain movements). My lifetime goal is to go into the military and be a CSAR gunner and eventually pilot! That's all anyone needs to know about me!

A fellow horse lover! Check out my pictures and you can see my Azteca. I've had thoroughbred ex racehorses, Arabians, Anglo-Arabs, and a gaited Morgan. I used to work out horses so I've ridden all kinds.

Do you ride the Walker and Trotter saddleseat? I've ridden Tennessee Walkers before and they are nice. My Morgan used to pace but I could get him to trot, it was like shifting gears with him. Also ridden Saddlebreds and have even jumped a Percheron and that is one experience you never forget. Oh and warmbloods.

Hopefully you get in lots of trail rides, right now its a might nippy, would make it fun though, in my opinion. The horses are always more spirited in the cold.

Well, welcome! I hope you post some pix of your horses, and if you click on my name, you can go to my page and see my album and check out my Azteca (quarterhorse and Andalusian).

My dad has an Arab that I love to ride! I used to ride a morgan at a barn I used to work at and he was a blast too! As for me, I mainly ride Western. Gymkhana most of the time. I know... Gaited horses and gymkhana! But hey, we got Reserve Grand Champ at our county fair last year! Trails are a usual thing with me and I like to jump but I refuse to show English due to the breeches. I'm more of a jeans and boots kind of guy!!!! Bottom line... I LOVE MY HORSES!!!! I'll post some pictures tomorrow if I remember and I'll go look at yours!

Well, heck western is about the same as saddle seat (perhaps more humane) and gaited horses are great for that, since they were made for a comfortable ride and they really are. Congrats on the gymkhana win. My friend used to use gaited horses for dressage, which is hard because on an extended trot they can tend to switch to rack or pace, and that is a disqualification. So if you can do that I think you can do about anything with them. I look forward to seeing pictures!

                CHICAGO, May 18, 2004

Diabetes might significantly increase the risk of developing Alzheimer's, a study of 824 nuns, priests and Roman Catholic brothers found, bolstering the evidence linking the two diseases.

I thought that I was done with hate. I thought it was through. But it is not. What transpired on the 26 of Dec was proof of that. I really don't understand why it happened. I don't believe there were too many profound lessons to be learned by me getting my *** kicked severely.

                It is...

Hello all! I am happy to have found this site not only for the outstanding music channel but for the sense of community with my native brothers and sisters which I have been seeking.
I was born on the Rosebud Res in central SD and spent my formative years just north of Rosebud in Norris, SD....

I have been a member here for quite a while (joined a year or two ago but never posted/rarely visited) and just started posting a few weeks ago - I've been enjoying myself so far, I sort of skipped a formal introduction though so I thought I would do so.
