• New here - Am I Native American?

Hi all! I'm new here. So I know this is a stretch, but I can't help my curiosity! I know my mom has a lot of Native American history, and my dad is from Germany. There was some fall-out though with my mother's side of the family and nobody will talk about it so I don't know details, but I want to know so badly!

    Here's a photo of myself:

Do I look Native American? Is there any particular area of Native American's that I resemble? I think I look caucasion, but I am darker than most...and definitely more red. I dye my hair, but it's naturally a very ash dark brown. My eyes are "amber"...a gold color. I would love to research more info, but I don't even know where to start, so I haven't had much luck.

Thanks in advance for any help finding my heritage!

You should check with an expert ! Joe's Dad
I believe blood quantums are the governments way to breed us out of existance !

They say blood is thicker than water ! Now maple syrup is thicker than blood , so are pancakes more important than family ?

There are "Elders" and there are "Olders". Being the second one doesn't make the first one true !

Somebody is out there somewhere, thinking of you and the impact you made in their life.
    It's not me....I think you're an idiot !

There's a chance you might not like me ,

    chance I won't care

To answer your direct question; nope, you don't look ndn to me. You are very pretty though.

It's not a question of looks though. You're either native, or you're not. Subjective opinions on looks have very little to do with it and won't change your genetics.

No, you don't look native, but it doesn't mean you aren't. I would start with your family tree. Get as much information as possible. Do your research.

Its just really hard to learn about the Native American Culture when there are no reservations near you and so this website is really all I have till more pow wows are available...

I have been a member here for quite a while (joined a year or two ago but never posted/rarely visited) and just started posting a few weeks ago - I've been enjoying myself so far, I sort of skipped a formal introduction though so I thought I would do so.

I can't be considered a 'Native American' but my father's grandmother was native and so was my mom's great-grandmother. I'm a mix of African, European and Native [South] American.

Nice site. I've been on here a couple of days, looking around, reading..shyly hanging in the background, (not unlike I do in real life), waiting to summon the courage to post.

I do not know if I am of Native American blood or not. I was adopted when I was very young. My adoptive father,...
