Nice work. My Lakota friends have certain meaning for the colors of the four directions.

I wish I knew how to bead. LOL

Why must I feel like that..why must I chase the cat?

I believe blood quantums are the governments way to breed us out of existance !

They say blood is thicker than water ! Now maple syrup is thicker than blood , so are pancakes more important than family ?

There are "Elders" and there are "Olders". Being the second one doesn't make the first one true !

Somebody is out there somewhere, thinking of you and the impact you made in their life.
                It's not me....I think you're an idiot !

Welcome to our Forum. I hope you enjoy reading and posting here. There is lots to learn about our heritages and the legacy for our future children. It had not been easy when we were forced to be separate from our traditional families. I understand your grief. I hope one day you would go and visit SD hopefully with your brother who had been there. I would like to have your brother take you there someday.

                    Hi Corinne -

There are lots of native events going on in the bay area of California. There is a round dance this Saturday in San Francisco, and a powwow in SF on Feb 7th. There is lots to do and a lot of small community powwows in San Jose / Fremont Area. Should get on Powwow Peeps on Facebook and a lot of the cali powwows are posted there.

Just come out and get involved!
Are you taking me to sizzler??

What is your grandfather's name? If you don't mind.

His last name is Tubbs. If you know anyone with that name in their ancestry too please let me know! It would mean so much to connect with family.

We have heard of the Tubbs family but have not come across any Tubbs recently.

I've hear of Bath Tubbs in Pine Ridge. But I also heard they're pretty rare < NDN humor.
Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.
