Contest

This voting has been harder than the rest of the contest. A lot of these stories and poems are as beautiful as beadwork only they are woven with a writing instrument like a pen or a keyboard. Some are scared stories like an Eagle feather. Some bring tears of joy or melancholy. Yes this was the hardest contest of all for a voter like me. You had to read each one to be fair in the voting. With the bead work and other crafts you could vote after A glance or two. But with the creative writing it is much harder but just as much beauty and craft involved. In the beginning before beads or dyed quillwork, and before anything, we had the stories. Perhaps this is the oldest craft of all among the people!!! I think everyone did an excellent job.

Your very welcome. Were you at The 42 Annual Dallas, Ft Worth Grand Prairie Pow Wow a few weeks ago?? I was there and enjoyed every minute, even the sudden rain downpour. I miss my old friends like Woogie, Bob Hooks and Ray Swain. That is the problem of not having young friends like myself, they leave you. At least they leave me with fond loving memories. Many of these stories are fond memories, printed like a photograph on our hearts and woven like sweetgrass through our lives.
