    Really hard to choose between Joaquin n Denni. both great dancers and great guys. terry is tooo... dam.

      I voted for Michael Plumley, Otto Hamilton and Drew Dreadfulwater....also props to Berbon........These guys are the straightdancers!

        Otto Hamilton, Francis SweetWater, Johnnie Hughes, Lee TwoHatchets, Charlie Chibitty, Woogie, Melvin Kerchie, M. Cunningham and many others not mentioned. These guys are/were the real thing.

          Old school as well eh? One of the greats in straight dance was definitely Smokey Lookout (50's-60's). He's the only dancer to win both the fancy AND straight championships @ Indian Fair on the same night! Of course you have to mention Abe Conklin (50's-80's), Cecil Rouwalk (50's-60's), my father Jim Anquoe Sr (60'-80's), my uncle Leonard Anquoe (70's-80's), Bitsey Stabler (50's-60's), and Owen Walkingsky (60's). Ronnie D Goodeagle was another keen one. Good list for the poll here - gotta go w/ Terry Tsotigh (even though he does sing w/ my drum group!). Ricky Eaves should be in it as well.

            my dad of course gaylon motah. Billie Komacheet, terry t, ralph haymond, aj leadingfox, denny medicinebird, jason lightfoot, michael p, earl p...... and many more just cant think right now lol!!!

                BOB MURRAY!! this was my uncle and he used to win and change into his fancy dance stuff, and win that too, was pretty smooth. That was keen when those old guys were able to do that.

                  Those are a great list of Straight Dancers. Please keep in mind though, this poll is just for 2008.
