Thank you all for whoever voted for me and whoever took the time to read my blogs. You know, before this happened, I blogged anyway, but family members wanted me to participate in this contest, so I thought, "what the hay...". It's been fun, met some new friends, and yes, I will come back from time to time and "lurk". Thank you Paul G...and good luck on your other contests.

Jesus......Best blog.....that wouldn't like be an award I would want to win for this. Its like the place where I pour my negative feelings in. So the next day I can feel better and work harder. Don't you have places that you do that? I mean I wish I could write a letter, read it, then shred it. But I really write all day, where I work, and that would just be another thing to do....LOL And it's unfortunate, but it's very rare for me to blog.

Of course I used to do it in Yahoo....but it's just as dismal there as here....LOL Dangit, don't vote for me. It'd make me feel worse sometimes than I do.

What will voting accomplish?? I realize that to some extent we are all competitive, but by voting on "best" blog??? How can one say that the emotions shared by others on any given day aren't THE most important at that time. For many blogging is a place to get it out there, to share, to reach out, for acceptance. I could not possibly state one of the above named be "better" than any of the others.... what about Willow who showed us her heart as she shared the loss of family? I refuse to vote... I njoy all of you and thank you for sharing with me.

I agree with you! I am going to boycott this contest, for exactly the reasons you stated. This is something that is really impossible to "judge" because there are not set standards as to how much and in what style, a person expresses their feelings and observations. I think that a contest on this would also influence the way people write, and what they write about. So instead of reading real reactions and comments and observations, we would be reading "audition" material, written to impress us, the jduges. Best of luck to those of you who are in the running, but I am going to honor your writing and your willingness to bare your souls to us all, by NOT comparing them to others and "judging", (by what criteria?) you and your efforts!
