Sure! I am 24 and a graduate student studying counseling and addiction. I am Metis and Eastern Band Cherokee. I currently work as an intern for the EBCI doing therapy for substance abusers. This is an area I deeply care about and love being involved in. I love that we can treat addiction using tradition. My aspirations professionally are to grow more knowledgeable about addiction. I would like the opportunity to visit other Native Nations and learn how they would go about treating addiction with their traditions. I think that I am a good candidate because I can represent Native youth. I can be a role model to younger people showing them that they can achieve education with some hard work and some faith. I would love the opportunity to represent powwows.com to reach out to the greater Native community so that I can learn more and more.

I personally need to post a clarification that walelaGA and walela49 are not the same person! lol

I've had a couple of customers congratulate me on running for princess....so just to clarify: walela49 is an ol' married woman with 2 kids and I'm NOT running for princess! lol

walelaGA is a sweet-young-thang, unmarried, no kids and walalaGA IS the one running for princess.
