    • Watched the Warriors and Mavs game tonite...Warriors needed to keep scoring and not play the clock in the 4th Qtr.....6 points up isn't much of a lead in a game. I've seen a few players score 8 or more points in a few seconds...

      • Mavericks out in 1st round! Who would have expected that, and to an 8th seed, no less.

Suns vs. San Antonio should be good - Suns usually manage to handle them in the end, with a few ups and downs...

A Suns-Bulls rematch for the finals would be awesome...

Man, that's harsh! I would argue against that - it took Michael Jordan and a last-second shot to win the last Suns-Bulls series, and he ain't there no more!

            • Inside The Nba Second Round.....brought To You By Jg Not Hyundai

              Well hoopsters,
Round one has come and gone....with one MAJOR surprise:

Golden State Warriors eliminate Dallas Mavs! This was as good of a series as there has been in the NBA for ages, with a team who qualifies for the playoffs on the LAST day of the season getting rid of the highly favored and 67 win Mavs. But looking at how this was done, and the drama of Baron Davis playing on one leg, and playing well, that was a performance for the ages!!!!! major props to Baron, along w/ Steven Jackson. Nobody will miss Mark Cuban...and
Dirk was awful, and never was able to adjust to the defense thrown at him. He mentioned in his post game interview that he needed to improve his low post game....what low post game? he needs to develop one first. 7 foot tall perimeter shooters are NOT how you win playoffs. He has LOTS of skills....but needs to develop some toughness, and leadership...

So, we now have the matchups we really WANTED to see:
Pistons/Bulls.....Bulls are much improved, made the Heat look like horse cavalry against armored columns, but the Pistons ain't the HEAT. This will be a great series, and PHYSICAL but overall, Detroit has more talent, especially in the low post, and interior defense w/ Tayshaun Prince.....I see them winning in 6 or 7...but this is a series to watch....should be a good matchup...

Nets/Cavs......One announcer called JKidd one of the top 3 point guards ever.....hmmmm lemme see, there was this guy called Magic, one called Isiah, one called Mo Cheeks, Tiny Archibald, Oscar Robertson, John Stockton......etc..etc... etc.... KIDD is pretty good as a passer, but shoots like I do, and should be issued a membership to the bricklayers and masons union. Top 3???? yeah right. This series (who cares) should go to the MAVS w/ LeBron...but they are thin on overall talent, and the NETS have 3 good players....so, if healthy...they will lengthen the series, but Cavs should win in 6 or 7...

Phoenix/San Antonio: WOOOOOHOOOOO great matchup speed and movement against superior 1/2 court play....can you say TEMPO? whoever controls that will prevail....and w/ Stoudamire healthy and a STUD....I see the Suns advancing in 6 ...

GS Warriors against Utah/Houston......anybody wanna bet against these guys? They ain't supposed to be here, and have NOTHING to lose now. No matter if Houston/Utah or a combination of both of them face GS they are headed for trouble...after that series against Mavs...they are on a serious momentum high....and will ride that thru this round, IF and ONLY IF Baron Davis is at at least 75% ....what a leader! hell, he's better than JKidd too!

So, on to round two....and say I'm correct, then you have Pistons/Cavs and Suns/GS warriors....
Then, Detroit wins in 6 over the LeBrons, and Phoenix beats GS in 5 or 6....they have too much speed and can exceed even the Warriors in creating offensive mayhem.....
Then, Detroit/Phoenix.....in the finals, with Phoenix winning in 6...as Detroit has no answer for Amare....

              Comment

              • Let's hope Amare and the rest of the Suns stay healthy for the run!

*yawn....that wasn't Michael Jordan who took the last shot that whupped your team...it was John Paxson. And we got 6 trophies...Suns? Zero, zip, zilch, nada...mebbe you might get one this year, but you gotta earn it. The Bulls earned all theirs.

And another thing about that game 6 of the '93 series, your team couldn't make any shots in the last 2 minutes of the game. Thats where your team lost. They choked. Kevin Johnson tried to go in the paint with a few seconds left and he got blocked by Horace Grant, and the champions prevailed...its not easy winning 3 championships in a row.

Tonite, muh Bulls got squashed ...dang...next game we gotta get at least one in Motown.

                  • Inside The Nba Updates

Game 1, PISTONS/BULLS....damn, a 26 point blowout..with the PISTONS outplaying the BULLS every way possible...points/assists/rebounds/less turnovers...and playing a near flawless game. But despite this, the PISTONS aren't this good, and the BULLS aren't this bad....the series will tighten up, but Detroit will win as the BULLS guards can't handle the stronger Billups/Hamilton combo. And Detroit has a far superior bench as well....

Game 7....Jazz eliminate the Rockets....hmmm hey ladies, size really doesn't matter as the 6'9" Boozer destroys the 7"2" Yao Ming w/ quickness and agility. The rockets should have won, if they could have controlled the tempo, but the Jazz showed more overall talent and hustle...the Rockets are a player short...and need another scorer to take heat off McG and Yao...

AS far as Suns/Bulls in '93 yes, it was John Paxson from Notre Dame...who hit the winner...but those Bulls teams were really Michael and the Jordannaires....since he was being double and triple teamed and that leaves a LOT of other guys open.....you still have to hit the shot though, so kudos to JP. But for rivalries in that era, ..First, there was one major one Celtics/Lakers.....then Celtics/Pistons...then Pistons/Bulls...those were some serious rivalries, with fights, bloodshed, mayhem, and no love lost to this day. Remember, after the Bulls finally got past the Bad Boy Pistons, Detroit players wouldn't even shake hands! and then later Isiah Thomas being left off the America's team by Phil Jackson....Total war, baby! lol today's rivalries are nothing compared to those

                    • Yeah, the Bulls and Pistons go back some...the 80's were tough on the Bulls...they got beat in the playoffs, it was by either the Boston Celtics, who had Larry Bird, and then the Pistons had Isiah Thomas, another great player. And the Cleveland Cavaliers even had a decent team, but they had to deal with the Bulls....my fave match up was against the New York Knicks though..those were some tough games in the "Garden"....

oh, almost forgot...That Chinese dude is 7'6"....gawd dayum!
There was one guy who was 7'7"...Manute Bol....

The Pistons and Bulls should go 7 games...But of course I got the Bulls winning...

If your team made it to the playoffs, good luck to them!

                      • San Antonio drew first blood, literally. (Ouch!) Nasty cut on Nash's nose, but that wasn't the reason they lost. Amare didn't shoot very well. Pretty close game all the way through, but now Suns have lost home court advantage. This one could likely go 7 games...

                        • Oh dang...Bulls are getting whupped.. Hopefully we can at least defend our homecourt.

Seeing how its being played reminds me of the 80's when the Bulls had their problems back then as well with the Pistons. Except No M.J. of course.

                          • Sorry, NSB but this series is over. The Bulls may win one,or even two....but Detroit ain't about to lose 4 of 5....
The Bulls look confused, listless, and have NO answer for the Detroit guards...esp. Chauncey...and the Bulls need a low post scorer...which they don't have at this point..Tyrus might become one, he is a superior athlete and leaper...needs work on a 'J' tho.

                            • hopefully 2 games... Like I said before, Detriot is the only I was worried about in the NBA. The Mavs, Suns, Spurs, Lakers, wasn't worried about...I guess in the off season we are gonna need better defensive players.
