Download and use Mozilla Firefox for your browser. I won't say why, but your problems will go up like smoke. :uptosomet

        Google it.

I came on board a minute ago and immediately got hit with 10 popups. It so overwhelmed my pop up protection it wouldn't stop them. It was as if I hit a porn site or something. I had to get off the internet to stop it. This is very discouraging. I run Adaware several times a day, too. This site has been the worst for popups. What else can I do?

I'm very sorry. I'm cutting all the pops out except a few.

The bad thing is, like I've said before, is that the majority of our revenue comes from these ads. The others pay so little because there are no clicks on them so advertisers want the pop.

Ok, I cut them back. Let me know how it is over the next couple of days.

I would eliminate them, but my hosting costs are going up by more than double!

So if you aren't going to have these expenses to come out of your pocket how many memberships would it take to stop the pop ups? Or do the memberships keep you from getting pop ups?

I understand why they are there because we know from before that on the clicks people would do it for a day or too but stop then we were in the same boat as before.

My plan is to have it so that people who buy a premium membership will be able to surf the forums without pop's. However I haven't completed that yet.

The total monthly pop revenue is over $300. So it would be alot of memberships!

Let's keep it simple-ifin ya wanna get rid of the popups layout 25 bucks a year for a premium membership and he can not only get rid of the popups but maybe he can work on the problem the server is to busy to, and if ya don't understand that I explain it better in a pm :) :devil
And before you complain about 25 a year how much you blow on junk food, etc. a year ?

Thanks, yes it would help if more people became premium members. But I don't want to force or beg people to pay that money either. Please don't take what I posted that way.

My goal is to provide a great site with lots of content to everyone at no cost. That's not always possible. The cost you have to pay right now is looking at ads and some pops.

Again I apologize for that, but I'm continuosly working on other sources of revenue. And it is a major goal to get rid of the pops all togehter.

I get asked alot what costs so much. Well...

Most of the people that call or email think I do this full time, wish I did! But the reality of it is that I have to do this in my spare time. And that's another area that adds on the costs. As I add more things to the site, I'm having to outsource somethings because I don't have the time to develop them myself.

So there's that cost, software costs, plus annual renewals and support agreements, equipment, merchandise, promotional items, and hosting. I think that's about all the sources of expenses.

Regardless of cost and time, I love working on the site and providing this medium for everyone.

I was thinking that the pop ups was from my computer ( i'm kinda puter illeterate) I am willing to pay for membership to get rid of the pop ups cuz they do drive me crazzzzzy. What are the other benefits to having the membership? I want to commend you Pual for all the things you do! You do have alot on your plate...

                          Thanks

They can come from your computer. Download AdAware and run a scan on your system for spyware programs like Gator.

For details on memberships, look at this:
