  • Have ya'll seen this? Bikers protecting soldiers families from protesters at funerals

Courage is just fear that has said it's prayers.

These bikers sure have a lot of patience. I'd be in prison if I saw anti-soldier protests at a funeral.

I'm glad there are still decent and RESPECTFUL people on the planet (not that this is the only example).

I know of the guy doing all the protesting. Him and his little cult go around protesting anything they can think of but this is beyond belief. He's been to Colorado Springs a bunch of times, most recently to protest a Gay Straight alliance club at one of our high schools. I don't care how much you object about the war or anything else, you let people say goodbye and pay there respects in peace.

I agree, people should be allowed to put their loved ones to rest and say goodbye in peace without the funeral becoming a political event for protesters.

I am a combat vet from Iraq and a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. It's a good group of Bikers with their heart in the right place. Pass it along to anyone in need.

Anyone who would disrespect the dead, and soldiers no less, is despicable...

That's just messed up. Talk about no class. We have the right to protest but not like that.

                New Laws

Missouri just passed a law keeping protesters away from funerals, including
not only the cemetary but funeral homes, and processions. There had been
a planned protest in Springfield recently but the protesters did not show up

The funeral was for a soldier killed in Iraq and had nothing to do with the
anti-gay message given by the would be protesters. The bikers were on hand just
in case. Nice to have the bikers around.

Hmm, bet they wouldn't dare show up at an NDN soldier's funeral. They'd get an a$$whooping they'd never forget, that's for sure.

This happened in Chelsea, OK over the fall. There was a soldier who was being buried and the protesters were there too. But everytime the protesters tried to say stuff the Hell's Angels reved up their bikes so loud that the protesters couldnt be heard.

What are the protesters trying to prove? Its not like there are any government officials there. If you are ferreal, then take your azz to D.C....dont mess with these families who are already heartbroken and probably couldnt care less about politics...just the fact that they lost a loved one

It's not fair and it's not right for them to protest at the feunerals...these men and women died fighting for their country. A lot of the soldier's may not support the war, they just have to do what their told. I know my husband didn't and still doesn't support the war, but if given the command to go he has to. There should be laws against that sort of thing. This just goes to show that the protesters have no respect and they obvioulsy haven't had any family in the military. Whatever...just makes me mad about those protestors....dumb...the bikers are awesome though, glad they step up to help people like that. Kinda goes to show that they aren't what a lot of people think about them, like that deviant lifestyle hell's angels and all that. That's real cool.

Our country, right or wrong, respects the rights of all. As a soldier and a member of the PGR, for some reason these people have what they feel is their right to do stupid things. Contact your leaders in congress to have them pass laws that make it illegal to protest at funnerals. But the bottom line in my opinion is, these people weren't taught by their parents to respect the dead and the families of the dead, or anyone else for that matter. This seems to be sign of our times. It's SAD.

A Big Thanks to the Bikers!

My husband's one of the many NDNs currently serving in Iraq.

I witnessed the protesters about a month ago at a friend's funeral (outside Ft. Hood). Thankfully, the bikers were there, too, and shielded the Fallen's family from the protesters.

I appreciate "free speech;" however, these protestors really need to engage in a little respect. IMO, their actions only bring disgrace to whatever message their attempting to assert.

                            Thank you, again, Bikers!

These FREE SPEECH a-holes pizz me off.

There is a line between FREE-SPEECH and HARRASSMENT and plain ole DISRESPECT.

I say when one of them gets their azz whooped, it will be OUR right to self-defence.

How about THE RIGHT TO BARE ARMS? Can we shoot them?

Protesters at a funeral...retarted! Have they no brain? When a distraught family member offs one of these bllbags, Ill be all for their defence.

News reporters shot it and now there's the contraversy about rules of engagement. I wanted to bring light to this issue,...
