  • The prefect soldier?

Something that has been bothering me since I joined this unit I'm over here with. I'm with a unit in the 101st ABN DIV. I have seen some NCOER's for other soldiers, and I have written some that have been changed by higher ups. The group I'm with gives out all excellents on their NCOER's. The most I've seen before this was 2, maybe a very rare 3, not 5 excellents. In the Corps, a 4.9/4.9 was usually a top Marine. Never did I see a 5.0/5.0. There's always room for improvement. I've read the bullets, some are outright lies. What has happened to candor and truth? They talk about Army Values and then do that. Has anyone else seen this kind of bull? What are your thoughts?

I've seen stuff like concerning pros/cons.....I used to do reviews on all my Marines, and if they didn't do anything that was out of this world, then a 4.3/4.4 was usually it....I did give out a 4.0/4.0 once....only because the guy was a shytbag.....anyway, yeah I've seen it, and it is bullshyt for command to change what you put, wouldn't that be messing with official documents???.....all I know is that, stuff like this is what makes Marines cringe when being called a soldier......which is why they tell you, the Corps is not for everyone...if you a run of the mill military unit join the army.....if you want standards, join the Marines....

Right now I have very mixed feelings about the events of today. I realize the large majority of the members here have no idea what happened and were not involved.

I've spent alot of time and money developing the site with most of it going into the features on this forum. Right now...

What is this fire in the center of the arena thing?
      by yellowthunders mama
Powwows in the East are very different for what I am used to out West. The last couple of powwows I've been to in Pennsylvania had a fire in the center of the arena that they kept burning all weekend. There was even a member of the powwow staff called the "fire keeper." I asked around about...
