I am hopeful we are really capturing these guys and it will put the sooner we have them rounded up, the sooner our guys come home. But knowing the military and politics I'm not even going to start holding my breath!!!

I heard a story on NPR news yesterday morning that has really stuck with me. I include the link here: If you click on it, you will be taken to a page where upon you can click to "listen to morning edition audio". That's what you want to hear. The story takes about seven minutes, total, to tell. If you listen to it, please share your thoughts afterwards if you wish. I'd like to know if you had the same impression I did. :)

..that there were never any WMD but the U.S. had to keep this man out of the spotlight because of the interview he gave before he turned himself over to the US authorities and that alone would have kept him in the media as a big glaring embarassment to the US. I think they were hoping, "Out of sight, out of mind." The Bush administration preyed on the American people's emotions that another 9-11 could happen if they didn't take Saddam out and clear all the WMD from Iraq.
