                    • We got lots of cold weather gear...but nothing like we had the last time I was in-country. We don't have any of the arctic mittens. Believe we needed them back in December 2003.

And we don't have any of the cold weather goretex boots? WTF? I do happen to have my goretex boots I never wore in Iraq, so at least I can take those with me.

Insufficient cold weather gear is no joke!!
Do you have to deal with snow as well? Or just extreme cold?

We have the standard 6 ft. fence in the backyard, and a few months ago, I heard about burglaries increasing dramatically in the entire city. To make sure this never happened to me, I got an electric fence and ran a single wire along the top of the fence.

I was warming up some chili the other day and THOUGHT I turned it off before I ran off to my class. Needless to say, I turned it to HIGH accidentally, and after arriving 4 hours later, my house was FULL of chili bean smoke.
