most pregnant women I know of stay out of the arena when there are others in it. I was told once that they were considered to have very strong medicine. Alson, Moon time women do not enter the arena. Since i only know a little about some, I hope that someone else can give you some input

      Moon time?

Can I ask what is a moontime women? Is it when they are going through the change I have never heard this before!
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is
weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

like others`have said, Women on thier moon, stay out of the arena. As for pregnant Women, it depends on the Nation. i have been places where Women do not dace pregnant. I have also been places & met ppl who said that where they comr from Women do dance pregnant & they have all said that it is done so that the baby is in the circle from the time of conception.
You should always check with your elders & with the community whose powwow your at.

It means when you are menstruating. My grandmother called it "being on your moon".

Always keep in mind that most teachings vary from Nation to Nation, area to area. BUT when your on your moon, no matter where you are, the teaching is to step back from the circle, including the dance circle.
When you are pregnant your allowed in the circle & in SOME areas that includes the dance circle, in OTHER areas your not allowed in the dance circle.
If it's not announced, ask. Also it would be good to get the teachings from your area, not just the yes or no, cause you already got that answer, but where the answer comes from & the belief behind the teachings. This is just as important as the yes or no.
So if on your moon, stay out of the circle. If your pregnant only go in IF your teachings, & the teachings for the area your in say it's Ok.
