• Vintage Navajo fringed shawl?

I have what I believe to be an Antique/vintage Navajo fringed shawl/wrap. I say possibly Navajo because of design on piece. Nothing as fancy as ceremonial piece. I'd say everyday use. Can anyone advise in where I can go to identify? Been all over internet. Nothing. Thanks, Gary

Greetings and Welcome to powwows.com . You could probably post a pic on here and someone might be able to tell you. Good luck with it !
I believe blood quantums are the governments way to breed us out of existance !

They say blood is thicker than water ! Now maple syrup is thicker than blood , so are pancakes more important than family ?

There are "Elders" and there are "Olders". Being the second one doesn't make the first one true !

Somebody is out there somewhere, thinking of you and the impact you made in their life.
It's not me....I think you're an idiot !

There's a chance you might not like me ,

but there's a bigger

chance I won't care

Being Navajo, I don't know of any fringed shawl/wraps ever used by Navajos. There really is not anything ceremonial either. so a image could shed a lot of light on this item.

I hear that the only antique/vintage fringed wrap that is nothing as fancy as ceremonial piece, but might be used everyday is something that lbgood has. I do understand that it is beaded as well!

Ta'neeszahnii Techno You know that my very old beaded-fringed-leather piece has been retired to the smithoniam museum. From wut I hear it will be hitting the road on a traveling show and already women are tryna get some DNA from that piece for paternity tests since I wouldn't otherwise cooperate

I would like to make her regalia or at least a shawl and mocs, for graduation gift.

Supporters of an effort to create green jobs on the Navajo Nation say a newly formed commission will help to spark creation of a private sector on the reservation and to market the traditional way of life.
