Wanting to learn how to dance....
Good Morning,
I am curious about how to start dancing... not only for myself but also my daughter. I feel like I have been straying from my culture. I have always been interested in Pow Wow. My mother is not the traditional type of woman, so I feel like I have lacked in my traditional ways severely. Now as I face being a mother to my own child, I would like her to be more involved in her culture instead of watching from the sidelines like me when I was younger. As the saying goes, "better late than never," I would like to learn now. Also it would be something that my daughter and I could do together. So i'm very curious and hopefully you guys could give me some direction to head in. I would like to know what type of dance would be preferably the best for my daughter and I to do, not together, but to start out at... My daughter is four and a half years old and I am twenty-one years old. Also, th big question would be, how would we learn to dance, like do we need an instructor or how do we go about learning???
