Most of us make our own . There are several groups on Facebook that have members that do custom work. Check them out though , so you don't get ripped off.
I believe blood quantums are the governments way to breed us out of existance !

They say blood is thicker than water ! Now maple syrup is thicker than blood , so are pancakes more important than family ?

There are "Elders" and there are "Olders". Being the second one doesn't make the first one true !

Somebody is out there somewhere, thinking of you and the impact you made in their life.
    It's not me....I think you're an idiot !

There's a chance you might not like me ,

    but there's a bigger

    chance I won't care

Powwows.com has a very active Facebook buy and sell trading post page here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/poww...00429765915158

There is also Sharps Indian Store in Ponca City, OK: Sharp's Indian Store & Pawn- Native American Crafts in Ponca City

You can also buy pattern kits and make your own if you know your way around a sewing machine.

One big word of caution - If you are making your own or giving someone patterns to make an outfit for you please, whatever you do, do NOT copy off of the designs on other people's outfits. A lot of the designs on other dancers outfits are family or tribal specific and you won't have the right to use them. Use designs and patterns common to your tribe and family. Also get an idea of the overall layout and style of the Jingle Dress so you don't look like some wannabe that copied off of a movie.

I thought I’d give you some food for thought…it’s not for me to say what you should do, but from what you’ve written in this post (& your other post), it sounds like you are not familiar with/have not been associated in the past with Taino culture, traditions & dance.

If I were you, I’d think I would want to learn about my own (meaning your own) Taino dance, music & traditions first, before launching into something completely foreign/different (to your Taino heritage) like Jingle Dress. Jingle dress originated with the Chippewa/Ojibwe; it is not traditional to the Taino.

So, I am not Hawaiian. Although Hawaiians are also Native/Indigenous, for me learning to hulu would be/is completely foreign to my tribe’s traditions & dance style. That’s the analogy that comes to my mind. For me, hulu dancing could be a fun thing, but it would have nothing to do w/my native culture.

Maybe I misunderstood what you wrote in your other post about your family leaving Puerto Rico/the Island...and you were raised w/Taino culture & traditions...(???)

BTW...Yo bailo la salsa & merengue con sabor...LOL, with spice! My PR friends taught me. From what I understand that's PR, not Taino.
