I have been to powwows where there are head dancers who aren't friendly, look mean or bored, publically gripe, show up late, don't get out to dance every dance and didn't show up at all for an entire session.
What are some expectations of good head man and head woman dancers?

by Str8N8iveWhat is up with the begining of intertribals? Why does everyone just stand around for like the first minute of the song? I heard one time like they are waiting for the head dancer to dance first, but I see this all the time. Even at powwows without head dancers. So whats up??

by ndnMSWJust wanted to see how people feel about this. Would you rather dance at a powwow, or be a part of the arena staff? (such as head judge, AD, MC, head dancer, etc.)
