    Woggs,

I remember Smiley and even danced against him numerous times.

He had his own unique style and went up against the southern fancy dancers numerous times. Too bad he never went down to Oklahoma. He was THAT good!

A lot of dancers from Idaho and Wyoming picked up his style and ran with it.
Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.

BAD A$$!!!! I got to dance against him several times. In my opinion, he was one of the best ever. He was simply awesome. Smooth as ice and very, very fast. I always thought that Furiously Fancy dances a lot like he does.

His fancy dance style was unique.

He was extremely smooth and had some wicked "cross-turns" that he invented and could do in succession.

Plus he could keep up with any southern "bullet song" . . . with ease!

Most of us can keep up with those incredibly fast southern songs, but he could do it easily and actually pull off moves other than spinning. When he was in his prime, I'd put him against anyone in the past 40 years.

Wow, bringing up all the old names

Adam Nordwall's double eagle bustles were the absolute bomb! Good dancer, really nice outfit with the starburst colors on white.

I guess the fact that myself and WhoMe (and probably a few others here laying low to keep their age anonymous) have danced with these guys makes us Old School too huh?

                That's ok...we'll just keep on

I have camped with Adam too. He had awesome beadwork and was known for his dancing stamina. He was well known on the Cali, Nevada, Northwest circuit.

Geez, I am getting old because I remember Phillip back in 1979 and 1980 at Rocky Boy and Ft. Hall. He was good acquaintances with my dad, Ron Harris, and danced with my brother RG back "in the day" LOL. That makes me remember Nathan Thompson and Poncho's brother Damon.
Those were the days, when fancy dancing was movement, rhythm, timing, style and stopping on time. haha It was different era than what has evolved now. Not so much spinning as dancing and hitting every beat of the drum. Yep, good old days.LOL
I am thankful for my grandparents, my parents, my brothers, my aunties and uncles, my children, my companion and all of those who influenced me to be strong and proud of being who I am and where I come from. Knowledge is power

But I need help or advice on how we can help him get the 'bounce' in his steps. I think he gets self-conscience out there at pow wows when he dances and he 'freezes'
