Boozhoo niji,
Floridas schedule starts in October, so if anyone wants to escape the cold of the winter, and come down here where its hot year round. I can tell you where to go and where to stay.
The first pow wow is in Altoona fla, and its the first weekend of October (I think). I got to find the flier.

Florida Pow Wows
Derek CrazyWolf...
First Florida Pow Wow is September 30th - October 2nd,
Chisolm Trail Pow Wow at Altoona, FL.
Your second one that I know of is the Leesburg, FL Pow Wow, December 2nd - 4th.
Of course these are by the Intertribal Cultural Arts Society, Inc. And, besides being a member of the Pow Wow committee, I am their offical photographer.
Of course the I.C.A.S. would only use a great head man dancer and a great photographer (He, Haw).
Looking forward to those Pow Wows,
I remain your friend...Bill WhiteDolphin Borah

Another Florida Powwow
There's also the Orlando AIA Powwow Nov 3-5, 2006 at the Fairgrounds on West US 50. The Powwow in N Ocala on Thanksgiving Weekend. Then the Leesburg Powwow on US 27 1st weekend in Dec.
In 2007 there is the Thundering Spirit Family Powwow March 2-4 at Renniger's Market on Hwy 441 on the E side of Mt. Dora.
I know there are others in Florida especially when it's cooler here for us and warmer here for Snow folks. Come down here and enjoy it!

by New2itallMany new folks come to this forum asking questions and it seems that a common answer to many of those questions is “go to a Pow Wow and see how it’s done” and “Go to a Pow Wow meet some folks.” Obviously, this is great advice! There is only one problem I see with it and that is in how to...

I thought I'd start a discussion to see who might be interested in coming to Hawai`i for a beach camp-out powwow in March 2012 (?) Tentative dates are for the 22-25th and we're starting up a 501c3 "Wandering Nations" to manage putting it on.
Any advice...-
