Good job IB, now, just do that 63 more times. Plus, the pink blanket wasn't necessary, you could use any kind of blanket.

            Howdy neighbor,

I use 25 hackles per color. You can get away with a little less than what you use on your back bustles because these will "flatten out" and look fuller. All the ones in the earlier pics have 25 per color.

Really, if you think about it, most of the techniques that fancy dancers use are also used by other dance styles. I've started working on a chicken outfit, and everything so far has been familiar.

I'm sorry. The badger distracted me and I must have missed the feather tying technique.

Can you please elaborate for someone who hasn't done much feather work, but who has grandsons that need outfits?!?

It looks like the feathers go clear around the dowel, but how are they secured?

He ordered a kit from "Grey Owl Indian Crafts" and had a 12 year old boy scout put it together for him.

but he did get his "Badger Patch"!

Several have asked, in private and in public, that I start a new thread with this post that was made in the "Chiefs and Maidens" thread (Native News).

I am not really sure where the best place would be to put this thread but Chit Chat is the most general posting area, so here...

what are some of the ways that you deal with your anger and the person you're angry at? i've tried the deep breathing, listening to soft music, taking a walk, sleeping in the other room, thinking about worst things that i could be mad about but it doesn't help me.

I had a couple of indepth conversations about Indian youth recently. Today's conversation was about Native gangs.

Every generation of Indian youth seems to incorporate what is going on in popular culture. In this current generation, this includes gangs and gang culture.
