Back to fans, so if a judge saw a dancer break out a fan for a "old style fancy dance special" might that fan give a little edge to the dancer (especially since most people dont dance any different during these specials lol).

Fans were a part of the fancy outfits in the past, but not so much anymore today. I'll use one during grand entry on really hot days, or during intertribals, but not during contests. I keep it in my suitcases and it goes with me each weekend.
