Check out the loose fan on page 47 in Native peoples the next time you are in a books store. The feather work, beadwork are all a++++. It is one to strive to be that good.

I am new to dancing in general, soi please excuse my ignorance.
can anyone tell me the difference between a loose fan and a flat fan? i am making a fan out of the end section of an owl wing, the part after the joint in the middle of the wing, i am leaving everything intact, bone, skin...-

What kind of fan do you use if you use one, tail, wing, or other?? I prefer using a tail fan, and I see lots of other jinglers using tail fans, and others using the wing fans. Which do you prefer and/or use?
