is there a meaning for putting the small feathers on top instead of hoursehair on your rattles

I can't speak for anyone else, just me. I like the way it looks personally. I have seen some with yellowhammer feathers, and small eagle feathers. Thats what I use, small eagle feathers. I just got done getting feathers off eagle wings. There were quite a few bugs (grubs I think) on the meaty part.
I cleaned the feathers up as best I could, but I kinda get the feeling that there may be little wee bugs on them yet. Mites, maybe. I was thinking of shaking on some flea...10-07-2003, 01:27 PM -
I have been wondering, in everybodys opinion, what is the amount of feathers needed to make a good full set I mean everything from roach to mocs. I have alot of turkeys where I live and just wanted to get an idea of how many wings I would need. Personally I dont like the tails and I can live without...11-07-2004, 10:43 PM
